The average hanging weight for a whole cow is 500-600 lbs. Price is based on hanging weight. Customer calls butcher with cutting instructions. Take home weight is 35-45% less than hanging weight due to moisture loss, trimming & deboning. You can pick up here in store or at the butcher. All purchases must be paid in full before meat will be released by butcher.

Whole beef at $5.60 x 600 lb = $3,360 (owed to Harmon Creek)

+ Processing costs at $0.65/lb x 600 lb + $120 kill fee = $510 (owed to butcher)

Quarter = $1,012.50
